Setting up a Channel

While a Playlist may be used as a direct screen output, there are several benefits to creating and casting a Channel instead.

Reasons to Use a Channel Instead of a Playlist

In addition to what bare playlists offer, channels facilitate the following:

1. Usage of a layout to show multiple playlists simultaneously
2. Inclusion of a ticker
3. Adding the current time
4. Branding by displaying your custom logo

Creating a Channel

1. From your dashboard, choose “Channels”.
   

   

2. Click or tap the plus icon.
   

   

3. Fill in the channel’s name, upload your logo, choose a ticker (optional), and click “Next”.
   

   

4. Select a channel layout. Every layout’s slot hosts a playlist, if you only have one playlist, choose the single slot layout.
   

   

5. Set a playlist for every slot of your selected channel layout, and hit submit.
   

   

That’s it! Now you are ready to cast your channel!
